Library Expectations
- Students will respect the library space, property, and users. If any behavior becomes disruptive to the learning environment in the library, the student will receive 1 verbal warning. If the student continues to be disrespectful the student will be sent back to their assigned class and a check will be given. After 3 such incidences the student will be prohibited from using the library during studyhall and lunch periods for 2 weeks.
- Students will work or occupy themselves quietly. All conversations will be at a low level to provide a comfortable learning environment for all. To maintain this environment students may be asked to sit 2 to a table if sitting more than that becomes distracting. If students need a space to work collaboratively at a louder level, use of the conference room can be requested.
- Students will be responsible for their own space in the library, meaning students must keep their table and the floor around them clean. Food and drink is not allowed in the library. (Students may have a private discussion with the Librarian for alternative meal locations)
- Students using laptops will sign them out at the circulation desk and return them to the cart before leaving. Students are aware that all files, folders, and accounts are the property of the CCSD. Any inappropriate use of computers will result in loss of access and possible disciplinary action. During studyhall laptops will be used for educational purposes only.
